Over the last month or so I sometimes get a "No signal" message when turning on my TV. I unplug the cable box, wait a minute, plug it back in and everything is okay, well for a few days anyway. I'm assuming it's a problem with the box and hopefully I can take it to my local store and exchange it. If there is another solution, I'm open to it.

Tv screen frozen when power on
For the past week every time I turn on my TV the image is frozen, no sound, and the cable box will not respond to the remote. I have to unplug my cable box and wait for the system to reboot and then everything is fine.
It seems like when I turn the power off of the TV eventually what I was watching will freeze.
Any idea what is causing this?

Cable card charge
About 6-7 years ago I purchased a Cable-Card and have had no monthly charge for the card I bought.
A couple of weeks ago the card quite working and the Xfinity Tech said the card was bad and I should order another replacement card, which I did. Same function, same type of card, old one was defective. Now Xfinity has decided that "new" cards will have a $9.99 month fee...... talk about nickel and dime'ing the customer. SO, if the old card still worked I would not be charged a fee. But, because I had to replace it with one that worked I now have to pay $9.99 month for the SAME service.
Xfinity has become a child of the airlines..... add charge after charge for BS things that used to be included in the base cost. Check your Xfinity bill... and note the "extra" fees that normally would be included in the basic service cost..... not anymore! THANKS XFINITY FOR NOTHING!

Picture doesn't fit screen
The image size does not match the screen. The tv attached to the box is hd and connected with hdmi cable. I have adjusted the setting on the x1 box to proper aspect ratio. The zoom is turned off. When on it streaches the sides and distorts the image. I can adjust the screen mode on the tv to zoom and it cuts off the ouside edges. My tv is new ultra hdtv .I am using HDM1.

Why use XG1V4
I have an XG1V3 connected to a Samsung UHD (4k) TV. The TV does a very good job of upconverting HD to UHD. Other than Netflix and other streaming services, there is no commercially available UHD to view. Even with these services, there is not much UHD available.
Does the XG1V4 do that much better at upconverting HD to UHD than the TV?
Am I missing the big picture somehow?

Parental Controls deficient
I am a parent of a 5 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old, and a 16 year old. When they use Internet devices, they are filtered through our filter service. However, our filter service can't control the X1 box.
The following needs to be added to the Parental Control features on the box:
1. The ability to change the Security Code to a 6 digit code instead of a 4 digit. My 10 year old and up can figure out the 4 digit code easily.
2. The ability to remove Internet apps from the menu: Netflix, Youtube, etc. Some parents don't want their children to access these internet apps through the TV.
Please develop these options as soon as possible. Kids should not have to be exposed to the raw material on the Internet when they are young and their minds are impressionable.

Maximum recording on X1
I am recording 4 shows on my PX013ANM DVR and tried to watch another show but it said that all my tuners were in use and the only way to watch live TV was to cancel a recording. I thought that I would be able to record at least 6 so why is it telling me I can only use 4 tuners? I have X1.

remotes stopped working
I've had just about enough! I get up today and neither of 2 remotes works. This is NOT the remotes and obviously a dud update. Tried to reset everything to no avail. Finally got hold of a comcast rep. She reset everything and I paired my remotes. Now for the problem. All they do is change channels, will NOT turn the tv off, nor will it allow me to pair my audio system. NO CONTROL of volume. I've even used my original codes. I'm about ready to dump this and go back to directv! I've spent 3 hours after we finally got the channels working but no way to pair the audio and tv.

Have had the subject error code for 2 or 3 weeks now. Contacted Xfinity a week or so ago and they indicated they were working on it. So far nothing has happened. I'm not receiving the service I'm paying for. Does this void my contract?

Help pairing remote to soundbar
I recently bought a Sceptre tv. Love the tv, hate the speakers. I purchased a Sceptre sound bar. It sounds great, but I can’t pair it to the Comcast remote, xr11. Sceptre does not show up as a model to choose from. I called Comcast, they said call Sceptre. Sceptre said to call Comcast. My husband refuses to have to use two remotes. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
