Had some pretty strong thunderstorms roll through earlier today, during which we briefly lost all TV/Internet. A few minutes later the internet and phone were back up and the cable on the bedroom and basement TVs came back on just fine (small comcast boxes). Unfortunately the main X1 DVR box in the living room never came back on. Heres the startup sequence and specs:
LG TV with HDMI cable to X1 box
X1 box shows time and blue power button, no other lights. TV displays the bouncing "no signal".
Unplug X1 box and wait 30 seconds to plug it back in, following boot sequence occures:
- X1 box displays two dashed lines
- TV displays "Welcome to X1, powering up this may take a few mins"
- TV goes blank again with bouncing "no signal"
- X1 box displays "BOOT"
- X1 box displays "CAST"
- X1 box displays "IPST"
- X1 box displays "SIST"
- X1 box goes back to clock, nothing further happens
Tried power on and off and uplugging several times. Call comcast they say it could be a bad box. Return the box to my local Xfinity store and get issued a new one. SAME THING HAPPENS over and over and over with the new one. Call comcast again they say no outages in the area, schedule a tech visit for two days out. PLEASE HELP!!!!
